SendGrid Email Configuration and DNS Troubleshooting (via Network Solutions) for the City of Crandall, Texas
Configured authenticated email sending for a custom domain using SendGrid, including initiating and validating the domain authentication process.
Accessed and managed DNS records through Network Solutions to add and verify required CNAME records for SendGrid’s link branding and domain authentication.
Performed multiple DNS queries and propagation checks (A, CNAME, SOA) to validate record visibility and proper resolution across global DNS.
Identified and troubleshot issues with unresolved CNAME records related to wl126.sendgrid.net, coordinating expected responses based on TTL and propagation behavior.
Verified SendGrid system status and ensured DNS entries met SendGrid’s infrastructure validation requirements for successful outbound email delivery.
Worked closely with Robert from Tyler Technologies and Tamara from City of Crandall to ensure that all emails were sent out to the employees as required by the customer. Robert and Tamare confirmed that all emails were sent and all worked well.
